Description
The framed poster edition of Sailing Ship in Stormy Sea has a pine frame.
Rocky cliffs rise on both sides, framing dark waves below the ship. Its deck windows glow warm, and billowing sails take on a greenish tint. Muted gold light breaks through the storm clouds behind the hull, while slate gray and cream fill the upper sky. The overall mood stays serious but open.
A dining room fits this stormy seascape, where it can hold attention during long meals. Hang it as one of a pair with a similar sea print on the same wall, so the two stormy scenes balance each other.
