Description
The desk mat edition of Red Figure Among Tangled Branches has a rubber base.
A tall figure with flame-like hair is centered in dense branches, filling the upright frame. Her body carries ornate patterned markings. Small bronze bells hang on red strings against a pale grey oval and near-black shadows. The palette is limited to near-black and muted grey-blue, in digital illustration style.
A reading nook suits this piece, because the dark shadows keep the eye on her through long hours with a book. Beside a book on the desk, the same scene adds a strange, quiet note. For daily use, it gives a workplace one unusual image to look at during each workday.
