Description
Pastel Stacked Blocks Staircase is made to order on a mug.
Rectangular blocks step diagonally across the frame in three separate runs, each a small staircase. Pale blue, peach, soft yellow and mauve sit on a warm cream ground, and the even light gives every block a flat top and flat side faces. The style is digital illustration, and the overall mood reads as calm and a little playful.
A kids room desk is a workplace of its own for homework and drawing, and this piece sits in view while the work gets done. The reading nook suits it too, since the three runs stand out well even on a modest tabletop. The layout keeps the eye moving down the page without crowding the work area.
