Description
Otter Head Above Water is made to order as a framed poster.
The scene shows a river otter with its head and shoulders lifting out of the water. Its whiskers are beaded with droplets, and its gaze tilts up and to the right. Loose watercolor washes in blue, teal and cream surround the animal, while light sparkles across the surface. Warm brown on the fur gives the image its main warm note against the cool tones.
Hang it at eye level so the water droplets on the whiskers and the otter’s upward gaze can be seen clearly. At that height, the small details of the face stay in view as you walk past.
