Description
With a pine frame, Misty Mountain River is printed as a canvas print.
The scene shows jagged rock formations and pine trees rising out of fog beside a calm, reflective river. A pale sun glows in a cream sky beneath grey clouds, drawing the eye toward the peaks at the centre. Charcoal black, soft grey and misty white make up the palette, with ink-wash shading across each ridge. The mood is serene and contemplative.
A dining room fits this scene of still water and misty peaks, which feels calm during a long meal. Hang it as one of a pair with a similar print, centered above a sideboard with the two pieces level and evenly spaced.
