Description
Melting Face with Glossy Spheres is made to order on a desk mat.
Warm orange strands run down the left half of the face, and cool sky blue strands cover the right. Glossy spheres and drips of hot pink paint roll down the dark ground, which keeps the scene moody and surreal. The lips and nose sit at the center, so the eye settles there while the spheres around it frame the portrait.
On a studio workspace, the bright pink drips and dark ground give the eye a clear place to rest during long hours at the screen. The warm and cool halves also suit a living room corner, where the piece makes a bold contrast with plain furniture around it.
