Description
The desk mat edition of Man Running in Orange has a rubber base.
The runner fills the center of the frame, with his face near the upper third. He wears a light grey-blue top and navy shorts, and his skin shows a warm tan. Behind him, loose brushwork shifts between vivid orange and charcoal grey. The scene carries an oil-painting look with plain, strong color.
A gym front desk suits this piece, since a figure in motion fits a place where members check in each day. Staff can glance up at it during a shift. A hallway spot works too, since passersby see the figure from several steps away. Its bold stride gives a plain counter some life.
